JASON KNIGHT x HANS MOLENKAMP — “ODB”

The ODB is the first collaborative design from legendary bladesmith Jason Knight and Hans Molenkamp for Crimson Knives.

Jason Knight is one of the most influential and respected names in modern custom knifemaking, renowned for his bold design language, powerful blade geometry, and uncompromising approach to performance. His work has helped define the direction of contemporary American bladesmithing, and the ODB brings that unmistakable Knight signature to a new platform.

Handmade by Hans Molenkamp, the ODB also reflects the precision, patience, and obsessive attention to detail that define his work. Molenkamp’s refined hand-finishing, crisp execution, and commitment to craftsmanship elevate Knight’s aggressive concept into a truly exceptional custom knife.

The result is a collaboration between two distinct makers at the top of their craft: Knight’s commanding design vision paired with Molenkamp’s meticulous execution.

These first three knives are one-off prototype customs, created to establish the design and showcase the full potential of the ODB before its wider release.

Two prototypes are crafted from Baker Forge steel, showcasing the layered character, depth, and visual movement Baker Forge is known for. The third is built from VG-10 and finished to a flawless mirror polish, giving the same powerful design a completely different, ultra-clean presentation.

These three prototypes mark the beginning of the Knight x Molenkamp ODB collaboration. A production model of the ODB will launch later this year, bringing the design to a wider audience while preserving the character, performance, and craftsmanship established by these first three customs.
